11. La Paz 2
Once we got to the hostel on thurs, me & Chloe & Manu & Helge went for food & out to bars. It was a v.v.v.good night although Chloe had mild sunstroke mixed with alcohol & so was a bit ill. The next day me & Chlo went to the witches market & bought scarves. It is rainy season here & basically the same weather as I assume it is in Britain, but without heated buildings or duvets, so really we should have bought warm scarves but they all ended up being flimsy glittery ones.
Me & Chloe went out again that evening but the boys couldn't hack it. Chloe spent the next day in bed. Me & Manu & Helge & a German man called Joseph went to the valley of the moon. It was a large area of these massive things that looked like giant termite colonies but were actually erroded sand. It was really wierd & there were lots of paths through them which felt like a kind of maze/assult course, I really really liked it.
The next day, Sunday, we got up & went to this huge market which was right on the top of La Paz. It wasn't really what I was expecting, lots of crap, though I did get a reggaeton CD. But then it started raining so hard the whole place turned into a swamp in 3mins & then it started hailing & it really really hurt when it hit your face & it was settling like snow. We got a local bus back & went for lunch in this British cafe/pub. There were lots of people there that we'd met all along our trip & everyone there was going to the Bolivia vs Brazil game so we got tickets. It was v.exciting, we bought Bolivia football tops & got our faces painted.
On monday me & Chloe went to book some trips & they said we had to bring a change of clothes, but I didn't have a change of clothes, I really didn't pack v.well. So we went shopping, although my choices were not v.sensible because I fell in love with a green cropped Sienna Miller jacket & tight jeans instead of getting a new jumper & jogging bottoms. We're going to a second-hand market today though where everything is 10p so I'll sort it out then.
I'm looking forward to going somewhere warmer
